1. Who we are

ChronoSplice is run by ChronoSplice AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden (“ChronoSplice”, “we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide why and how it is used.

For anything about your data, contact us at contact@chronosplice.com.

2. What we collect and why

When you join the waitlist

What we collect
Your email address, the date and time you signed up, and a record that you agreed to receive updates and accept this policy.
Why
To send you updates about ChronoSplice, including when early access opens, and to keep proof of your consent.
Legal basis
Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
How long
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We also review the list at least every 24 months and remove addresses that have been inactive. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a suppression list so we don’t contact you again.

When you visit this website

What we collect
Technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is recorded in server logs by our hosting provider.
Why
To deliver the website, keep it secure and prevent abuse such as automated spam sign-ups.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in running and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long
Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider, then deleted.

When you email us

What we collect
Your email address and whatever you choose to write.
Why
To reply to you and keep a record of the conversation.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long
For as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then deleted.

Giving us your email address is voluntary. If you don’t, you simply won’t be on the waitlist. We don’t use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the website and the waitlist. They act on our instructions and are bound by data processing agreements.

We don’t sell your personal data or share it with advertisers. We may disclose it if the law requires us to, for example in response to a valid request from an authority.

4. Transfers outside the EEA

Some of our providers are based in, or may process data in, countries outside the European Economic Area, such as the United States. When this happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies

This website doesn’t currently use cookies for advertising or tracking. If that changes, for example if we add analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email contact@chronosplice.com. We aim to reply without delay and within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, imy.se, imy@imy.se. If you live or work elsewhere in the EU/EEA, you can complain to your local authority instead.

7. Security and other details

We limit access to the waitlist to people who need it and protect it with standard account security measures. No system is completely secure, but we take care to keep your data safe and to collect no more than we need.

This website and our services are not directed at anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.

8. When we launch our test kits

Our test will involve a blood sample and RNA sequencing. Data like that can reveal information about your health, and the law treats it as a special category of personal data with extra protection.

Joining the waitlist doesn’t involve any of this, and it doesn’t commit you to buy anything. Before we collect any sample or health-related data, we will publish a separate privacy notice that explains exactly what we collect, who processes it, where it is stored and how long we keep it, and we will ask for your explicit consent.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our service develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will let waitlist members know by email.
